SWS owns, maintains, and operates a diversified asset base comprising of different types of sewerage assets including but not limited to; sewers, sewage pumping and lifting stations, STPs, odor control units and assets disposal related activity.
From a licensed activities perspective, the asset base is broadly categorised as Wastewater Collection, Wastewater Treatment, and Recycled Water Disposal.
In addition, a very small percentage (around 3%) of the overall population is served through septic tanks and “Tankering”. The connectivity of these septic tanks to relevant SWS network, creating assets register and enhancing the safety of these tanks are envisaged among the objectives of SWS. Consequently, relevant septic tank rehabilitation schemes have been and under SWS planned / executing projects.
