The Regulation and Supervision Bureau is the independent regulatory body for the water, wastewater and electricity sectors and regulates all entities working in these sector.
SWS operates under License ED/L01/016 granted by the Bureau under Law No (2) of 1998 and Law No (17) of 2005 and contains a broad range of conditions to protect the environment, public health and customer interests by regulating the activities of all categories of wastewater collection, treatment and the disposal of solid waste.
